UPFL Pre-Season Super Six

6 09 2008

UPFL SUPER SIX

With the 2008 UPFL Draft behind us it is now time to set our sights on the prize in front of everyone’s eyes: Champion of the UPFL. So onward to the first Super Six of the season.

#1 – Blumkins: As always until the defending champ shows signs of not winning they are the #1 team coming in. The Blumkins will look to super-duper RB Adrian Peterson to plow the line for W’s this year and will welcome back Drew Brees.

#2 – BrewCity Beatdown: New GM Glenn Luke has a solid team on paper and if Larry Johnson and Willie Parker can regain their old forms this team will be very formidable.

#3 – Matt Millen: Another new GM in Dan Makela has solid players everywhere including a guy named LaDainian. The WRs are fantastic in Fitzgerald, R.Williams, and Braylon Edwards. The only question mark being QB with Jay Cutler and/or Philip Rivers at the helm.

#4 – Cobblestone Crush: GM Luehmann returns as Toilet Bowl Champs but will hope for a better ending this year. The Crush will be led by LDT and will look for Steve Smith to boost their chances in two more weeks.

#5 – Benson’s Boys: GM Charbonneau has never been ranked this high but a solid draft that didn’t include Cedric Benson has this team talking Yooper Bowl, a lot will ride on Adrian Peterson but a solid core of WRs in Wayne, Holt, and Chambers may carry this team on most weeks.

#6 – Team DeVETO: Solid all-around, with Drew Brees and Marion Barber leading the way. If Selvin Young gets 2000 yards as he has predicted this team will be #1 in short time.

Well our first week of NFL games are upon us, so give the wife and kids some money to get ice cream and sit back as the live-scoring updates your teams fate each week. Lets get the season started.
